Dr. Farin Bakhtiari received her Ph.D. in human development and family sciences at the University of Texas at Austin. She was an NIH predoctoral fellow, and she focused her research on alcohol use among Latino adolescents and young adults in immigrant families, which was funded by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. Her general research interests focus on well-being and development of adolescents and young adults in context (e.g., family, peers, school), particularly among those in immigrant families.
