Advanced Medical Interpreting
This 40-hour class will provide bilingual participants with an extensive understanding of medical interpreting techniques, theory, concepts, and skills. Extensive coverage in medical subspecialty terminology: anatomy, medical specialties (children and adults), understanding legal consents, and living wills. There will be an introduction to Administrative Interpreting covering examinations and procedures, administrative interpreting versus medical interpreting. This class will further develop the bilingual participants interpreting skills; build terminology and prepare them for oral medical/healthcare certification exams.
